Cung Le will return to Strikeforce after vacating his title to pursue acting opportunities. Many are curious as to why Le vacated his title, considering that he's only fighting one month after Jake Shields and Jason Miller fought. Le's ground game is still questionable, which may explain his reluctance to fight Shields. He will now face fellow striker Scott Smith.

Le will be facing the most dangerous striker in his mma career, but he's no stranger to tough strikers considering his K-1 and martial arts competitions.

Scott Smith seemed to have turned the corner following knockout wins over Benji Radach and Terry Martin, but he was dismantled by Nick Diaz. Smith will look to rebound against Le, but he has to be leery of Le's striking ability. Smith tends to take his fair share of punishment in order to land his own shots, but he can't afford to be an immobile object for Le. Smith would be wise to utilize the clinch game in hopes of negating Le's kicks or possibly be the first man to take him down and test his guard.
